Timeline can be created in many different timeline units. The data entry method is slightly different for each timeline unit, below are tips to guide the use of different timeline units. Notes for all time units · Sub-units are an option to give increased accuracy - use if required
· All time values need to be added as numbers · The use of a minus in front of any time vaue will give it a negative position on the Timeline. If a minus year value is added it will be shown as BC. · For hours use 24 hour clock
Modern Timelines Calendar Dates - Use for full date and with intelligent axis settings. Real dates have an operating range from 1/01/1900 - 1/01/2050. If you need a date range outside of this range please use the Years range. Use the date box and the scroll arrows to move to the required date. For fast scrolling click on the Month / Year from the blue bar see below: Historical and Ancient Timelines Years AD years add as date 1978. Displayed as 1978 BC year add as minus date -3000. Displayed as 3000BC Days and Hours Day and hours add as number Day1 Hour4. Displayed as 04:00 day1 Always use 24 hour clock for hour values.
Hour and Minutes Hour and minutes add as number Hour14 Minute10. Displayed as 14:10 Always use 24 hour clock for hour values.
Steps - Used to create a step by step process. Step and sub-step add as number Step1 Substep3. Displayed as step1.3 Note - There are 10 Substeps in a Step.
Kilometres and Metres - Use a distance comparator. KM and M add as number KM14 M16. Displayed as 14.016KM
Metres and Centimetres M and Cm add as number M8 Cm97. Displayed as 8.97m |
